Our Bluehost Report:
About Bluehost:
Bluehost has begun to stand out from other hosting companies and has gained a decent reputation as a good host. Blue Host is a one plan web hosting company providing one shared hosting plan.
Bluehost Reliability: A
Bluehost has shown consistent quality and reliability. We have yet to hear of experience any downtime of a bluehost server. Bluehost's limited offering of plans probably allows Bluehost's technicians the ability to concentrate fully on maintaining uptime.
Customer Support: A-
Bluehost has 24/7 customer service accessible by phone, email, or chat system. Chat support is not always available at certain hours. Response has been adequate and replies are typically comprehensive.
Features: B
Blue Host only offers one hosting plan on a shared server, but has given that plan more than adequate capacities that will be enough for most web sites. Unfortunately, by limiting their plan offerings and not providing upgrades to either a Virtual Private Server (VPS) or dedicated server, if your site grows to the point of needing greater power, you will be forced to move your site to a different host. The majority of sites won't ever need to make that upgrade but if you already have a busy site, you should probably consider a different host that can cover an increased need.
Outside of that, Bluehost has the latest upgrades and offerings in its Cpanel admin panel. You can take a demo of Bluehost by visiting the Bluehost demo.
Price: B+
Bluehost's price is competitive with other hosting companies for what they offer. Webmaster may want to review Bluehost's sister site, Hostmonster, which offers essentially the same plan, but at a cheaper price. In fact, both sites are from the same family. We would like to give Bluehost a higher grade but even though the price is good, the lack of expansion takes a bit away from the price factor.
